E-Rate Management Professionals Association

The E-rate Management Professionals Association, Inc. provides professional resources, ethical guidance, and certification for E-rate management and consulting organizations. Funds For Learning’s CEO, John D. Harrington, was a founding member of E-mpa and served as E-mpa president from 2008 through 2012. The Funds For Learning staff adhere to E-mpa’s professional practices and high standards.

Consortium for School Networking (CoSN)

Funds For Leaning has been a member of CoSN for several years and has provided leadership and E-rate training to its membership. CoSN is the country’s premier voice in education technology leadership with a mission to serve as the national organization for K-12 technology leaders who use technology strategically to ultimately improve teaching and learning. CoSN provides products and services to support and nurture leadership development, advocacy, coalition building, and awareness of emerging technologies. Funds For Learning is proud to be a CoSN Friend of Advocacy to support CoSN’s efforts to represent CoSN’s interests in Washington, D.C.

National Coalition for Technology in Education and Training (NCTET)

The National Coalition for Technology in Education and Training (NCTET) serves as a catalyst for change by creating policy briefings and issue forums, reporting on field developments, recognizing leadership and success, and providing networking opportunities between education, technology and policy leaders. Funds for Learning is pleased to support the NCTET’s goals and initiatives and was honored to be a part of the 2013 and 2017 Bytes & Books Inaugural Ball.

Schools, Health & Libraries Broadband (SHLB)

The Schools, Health & Libraries Broadband (SHLB) Coalition was created in 2009 in Washington, D.C. to help address the shortage of adequate broadband for anchor institutions and their communities. ["SHLB" is pronounced "SHELL-bee"].
The SHLB Coalition promotes government policies and programs that enable schools, libraries, health care providers, other anchor institutions and their communities to obtain open, affordable, high-speed broadband connections to the Internet.

Software & Information Industry Association

The Software & Information Industry Association promotes and protects the software and digital content industry and seeks to inform and act as an advocate on behalf of its members. Funds For Learning worked with SIIA to produce the SIIA Guide to the E-rate, a publication which provides software and technology companies a better understanding of how schools and libraries may leverage the E-rate program.

Great Expectations

Funds For Learning has been a member of Great Expectations for many years, and our CEO John D. Harrington serves on the board as Vice Chairman. Great Expectations is a non-profit organization which began in 1991 to develop a teacher training model that would "motivate, inspire, and challenge individuals to achieve excellence in learning and living." Great Expectations has created tenets and classroom practices to foster their mission and regularly holds meetings and training events to support, guide and encourage education professionals.

State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA)

SETDA is a non-profit national organization that represents and advocates educational technology by empowering educators and leaders on national and state levels. SETDA offers policy and leadership forums, collaboration, webinars, and media outreach. The organization strives to improve and inspire the effective use of technology in education. SETDA strategically sets high standards and goals with a focus on service, action, and the future, and has served the interests of state and territorial educational technology leaders since 2001.
